About the Author

Benno Bauer Jr. grew up in Kerrville, a small town in Texas and graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a degree in accounting. He became an apartment developer in Houston with more than 4,000 apartment units and some high-end homes.

When God called him into ministry, Benno became a staff pastor/counselor at one of the biggest churches in America under Dr. Ed Young — Second Baptist Church in Houston. He also became a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT — ASAT) through the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP) under Dr. Patrick Carnes, the premier expert on the issues of sexual compulsivity/addiction, after recognizing how pervasive and devastating sex addiction had become to men in the Houston area and beyond. This was an opportunity to begin an incredible and much-needed ministry. He is also a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist (CART).

As we embark on the journey of understanding the issue of sex addiction, we must proactively educate ourselves as much as possible on how we were made and shaped, how the topic of sex addiction came about, and how authentic freedom and transformation can occur.

The Lord God made you unique; there has been no one like you, and there will be no one like you in the future! You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and YOU were meant to be! This will be a repeat, repeat, repeat in my book. If you are a Christian, unfortunately, many live below their blessings and privileges while others have joy and victory in life. The book sheds light on having a proper relationship with the Lord and walking into the true blessing of freedom from addiction.

Chapter 1 Excerpt

God wants to change you from within, not just your behavior and actions, but your heart. In this book, I write about your having a body and a soul when you are born. You receive THE LORD’S HOLY SPIRIT within you as you become a True Believer. That’s where the indwelling spirit of the Lord can do HIS work within and through you as you do the work necessary to become healed and changed.

Many secularists will not agree with the paragraph preceding. Nevertheless, it is the bedrock foundation of TRUTH. Do you want to have a “fix,” that is, BEHAVIORAL CHANGE, or do you want a TRANSFORMATION? It’s your choice.

YOU HAVE TO DO IT FOR YOURSELF.
